HISTORY
Take a closer look at the boxing history of Ko Boxing Academy.
KO Boxing was founded in 1976 by Bill Judd, starting in a small church hall in Forest Gate, East London. Over the course of more than 40 years, the gym relocated several times, including stints at The Lonsdale Gym on Carnaby Street. In the 1980s, it settled at the Tottenham Community Sports Centre, where it remained for over two decades. In 2020, KO Boxing finally found its permanent home in Bethnal Green, East London, just a short distance from the iconic York Hall, known as the heart of British boxing.
KO Boxing boasts a thriving amateur boxing section, and in 2012, it received a visit from its esteemed Patron, the legendary Ali family. The gym's amateur team, Arches ABC, has achieved significant success.
Bill Judd, the founder and head coach, has consistently produced champions in various combat sports, including boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, and MMA. He has guided athletes to become world-class amateurs and professional British, European, and even world champions. The most recent addition to their trophy collection this year is the Pro Box Intercontinental title.
